Mahnoor is a 2nd year PhD student from Pakistan in the Computer Vision Group at KSoC. She works in the domains pure computer vision in AI and ML. Outside of work, she loves playing golf and tennis and is an avid swimmer. She also loves anything outdoors like hiking, trekking and the occasional picnic on a sunny day!
Rebecca is a 2nd year PhD student in the Personal Data and Empowerment Lab under Prof. Jason Wiese. Her research centers around accessible technology for persons with disabilities. Outside of work, she enjoys crocheting, walking her dogs and hiking in millcreek canyon
Anam is a 2nd year MS student in the School of Computing, with interests in data systems, distributed computing and applied analytics. She brings several years of experience in cloud computing and engineering. In her free time, she enjoys spontaneous road trips and being out in nature. You'll usually find her hiking, taking a long walk, or just soaking in the scenic Utah sunset.
I am Syeda Mishra Saiara, a final year master’s student working with Prof. Guanhong Tao. My interests and passions surround in cybersecurity, mostly in LLM/ML vulnerabilities also focusing on preserving data privacy in these ecosystems. I come from a small, yet vibrant South Asian country named Bangladesh. Being a Bangladeshi, I bring diversities in culture, foods, and life visions. I am a nature person, who loves mountains and hiking as well, making Utah a lot closer to my heart!
Kimberly is a 1st year PhD student advised by Mary Hall. She works with compilers and High Performance Computing. Kimberly enjoys a plethora of hobbies, including baking, crocheting, and reading. She also loves collecting stories from books, history, and the people she meets.
Remy is a 1st year PhD student advised by Jeff Phillips. Her research interests are in explainable AI and developing ML models for real-world datasets and problems. She spends her free time crocheting and baking, and you can usually find her at a cafe or out on the hiking trails.
Jenny Lin is an assistant professor at the Kahlert School of Computing. Her research is on graphics with an interest in physical fabrication and the computational tools we build for it. In her spare time, she enjoys scribbling with fountain pens and playing questionable mobile games.
